This method is suitable for water bodies that have a clear water phase above the sludge layer and allow the water level to be lowered.
In this case, we can pump off the water at short notice and place the exposed sludge layer in windrows for natural dewatering. Special machinery such as swamp crawlers and long-reach excavators enables the sludge volumes to be moved in order to support solar drying.
